Procurement Engineer
About this role
Voyager Technologies seeks a Procurement Engineer to manage sourcing, negotiations, and supplier relationships for aerospace and lunar systems components and services. The role involves interpreting engineering requirements, conducting source selection, and ensuring supply chain performance in a hybrid Pittsburgh-based position reporting to the Director of Supply Chain.
What you'll do
- Source flight-grade avionics, mechanical and electronic components, ground support equipment, and engineering services for lunar systems programs
- Conduct supplier negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and schedule with management support
- Perform source selection evaluations based on established best-value criteria
- Interpret engineering specifications, drawings, and statements of work to facilitate supplier communication
- Coordinate with Engineering Design to identify critical component features and qualify alternate parts
- Conduct supplier quality activities including qualification, performance oversight, and relationship management
