About this role
Vulcan Elements is seeking a Controls Engineer to lead the design and implementation of Building Management Systems and SCADA systems during an important manufacturing expansion. This position involves overseeing the full lifecycle of controls infrastructure and may lead to opportunities in long-term system ownership.
What you'll do
- Design and install Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC controls.
- Develop site-wide industrial networks and SCADA systems.
- Coordinate with automation teams for system integration.
- Oversee installation and testing of controls hardware.
- Create detailed controls documentation and ensure quality standards.
- Support capital project planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in related engineering fields.
- 3+ years in controls engineering or automation.
- Knowledge of BMS, SCADA platforms, and instrumentation.
- Experience with PLCs and industrial networking.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in active environments.
- Understanding of safety and cybersecurity standards.
