Vulcan Elements is looking for a Materials Analysis Engineer to enhance their laboratory team focused on rare-earth permanent magnets. This role involves operating sophisticated analytical equipment, developing testing methods, and applying data analysis techniques, including machine learning, to ensure the generation of reliable data.
What you'll do
- Operate advanced materials characterization equipment
- Develop and refine laboratory test methods
- Ensure high-quality data generation and establish quality control standards
- Perform statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
- Document procedures and test results clearly
What they're looking for
- Hands-on experience with SEM, EDS, EBSD, ICP-OES
- Proficiency in data analysis and scripting (Python)
- Experience in machine learning frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of materials and mechanical thermodynamics
