About this role
Waabi seeks an experienced V&V Engineer to lead verification and validation efforts for firmware and electrical systems in autonomous vehicles. You'll own testing strategy, compliance with automotive standards, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure safety and regulatory certification of next-generation autonomous trucks and robotaxis.
What you'll do
- Develop requirements and test plans with traceability, executing functional and performance testing on vehicle prototypes and hardware
- Build and maintain HIL benches, custom fixtures, and automate regression testing for firmware validation
- Plan and execute compliance testing against ISO 26262, UL 4600, ISO 16750, and OEM-specific standards
- Coordinate pre-compliance and formal certification testing with accredited laboratories
- Troubleshoot firmware issues, lead root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions across design and software teams
- Evolve Waabi's V&V methodology, toolchain, and bench infrastructure to support multiple OEM processes
