Field Quality Engineer

Waymo is seeking a Field Quality Engineer to enhance product quality and reliability within its autonomous driving technology. The role involves analyzing fleet data, collaborating across teams, and developing scalable quality processes to mitigate field issues.

What you'll do

• Champion field quality initiatives across multiple teams
• Analyze fleet data for quality trends and risks
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of field issues
• Develop tools and processes for field quality management
• Define quality requirements and validation methods
• Establish a feedback system to improve designs and processes

What they're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 5+ years in electro-mechanical product development
• 5+ years in quality or reliability engineering
• Data analysis and dashboard creation using Python, SQL, JMP, or Tableau
• Knowledge of quality methodologies (e.g., 8D DMAIC, FMEA)
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams
