About this role
Waymo is looking for a Software Engineer with expertise in GPU technology to enhance their automotive compute platform. The role involves developing high-performance GPU software, collaborating on SoC projects, and optimizing system performance for autonomous driving applications.
What you'll do
- Develop high-performance GPU primitives and abstractions
- Collaborate on SoC projects focused on GPU components
- Manage performance and correctness of the onboard stack on new GPU platforms
- Contribute to CI/CD testing infrastructure for GPUs
- Create profiling and debugging tools for new GPU platforms
What they're looking for
- Proficiency in C++
- Experience with full-system simulation frameworks
- Understanding of GPU hardware architecture
- Knowledge of performance analysis tools
- Interest in developing complete GPU software stack
- Familiarity with Linux device drivers (preferred)
- Experience with GPU optimization techniques (preferred)
- Familiarity with GPU libraries (preferred)
