This role involves enhancing the safety and reliability of the Waymo Driver by bridging simulation software with real-world applications, supporting the company’s rapid expansion in the autonomous vehicle sector.

What you'll do

• Optimize tooling development for simulation tools with Product and Engineering teams
• Drive technical processes for rapid-response simulation scenario testing
• Develop and document policies and SOPs for integration of AI tools in operations
• Design and implement quality assurance processes for outputs
• Provide technical consultation and leadership as a Subject Matter Expert

What they're looking for

• BS/BA degree or 4 years in AV Software Quality or Technical Operations
• Experience with ML testing and validation
• Proficiency in mastering proprietary software tools
• Strong understanding of driving rules and traffic environments
• Basic SQL knowledge for data extraction
• Hands-on experience with AV simulation environments
