Waymo is seeking a Software Reliability Engineer to ensure the stable operation of its autonomous systems. The role involves collaborating on large-scale systems, enhancing automation, and maintaining high service availability for the fleet.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with engineers to build reliable autonomous vehicle systems
• Manage availability and performance for core fleet services
• Oversee the full lifecycle of services from design to operation
• Implement software improvements to prevent outages
• Develop automation for Global Infrastructure
• Lead incident response efforts and participate in an on-call rotation

• 2+ years of coding experience in C++, Java, or Python
• Interest in distributed systems
• Experience with system monitoring and reliability
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
