Software Engineer

About this role

WorldQuant is looking for a Software Engineer to contribute to the development of financial strategies and systems. The role involves working collaboratively to enhance both backend and frontend services using technologies like Java and Python, in a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain backend and frontend services using Java and Python.
• Integrate services with third-party tools like Kafka and Kubernetes.
• Maintain monitoring services using tools like Prometheus and Sentry.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and business teams to resolve issues.
• Design distributed system architectures.

What they're looking for

• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Strong data structure and algorithm knowledge.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• 3+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems is a plus.
• Fluent in English.
