Application Security Engineer

About this role

Wrike is seeking an Application Security Engineer to enhance security practices within their product teams. This role involves working directly with engineers to identify security risks, validate code, and improve secure coding practices throughout the development process.

What you'll do

• Conduct secure design reviews and threat modeling
• Perform code reviews and validate security fixes
• Prioritize and assess vulnerabilities from various sources
• Integrate security into developer workflows and CI/CD processes
• Provide actionable remediation guidance to engineers
• Leverage AI workflows for complex AppSec tasks

What they're looking for

• Strong knowledge of web and API security
• Experience in secure code reviews (Java, TypeScript, PHP)
• Familiarity with threat modeling and security requirements
• Management of Application Security tools (SAST, DAST)
• Understanding of OAuth/OIDC and secrets management
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritize security findings effectively
• Sound judgment in AI-assisted workflows
