Mechanical Engineer, AI Integration

About this role

Xometry is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their Generative AI and Geometric Integration team in North Bethesda, MD. The role focuses on integrating mechanical design with AI, facilitating the training of Xometry’s proprietary AI engine through collaboration with Data Science and Product teams.

What you'll do

• Analyze 3D CAD models for geometric feature accuracy
• Test and validate DFM and pricing feedback within NX and Teamcenter
• Provide engineering logic for Generative AI training
• Structure and label datasets from technical drawings and PDFs
• Document manufacturing constraints for software handling
• Conduct regression testing on AI outputs against real metrics
