Software Engineer - Trading System Developer

About this role

XTX Markets is seeking a Software Engineer for its Trading System Development team, focusing on ETF trading system development in New York. The role involves collaborating with various teams to build and maintain high-performance trading systems, utilizing Kotlin and other modern technologies.

What you'll do

• Architect, implement, and maintain diverse trading systems, focusing on ETFs initially.
• Collaborate closely with quants, Risk and Compliance, and Trading Analysts.
• Work autonomously to build multiple trading systems efficiently.
• Engage with stakeholders in New York and developers in London.
• Develop high-performance trading venue integrations and algorithms.
• Ensure system safety and quick delivery without bureaucratic obstacles.

What they're looking for

• Proficiency in Kotlin or similar object-oriented languages (Java, C++, C#).
• Experience with high-performance system requirements.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
• Ability to build technology quickly and safely.
• Experience with code reviews focused on correctness.
• Familiarity with ETFs and financial markets is a plus.
