Yugabyte is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their Core Database Engineering team in Sunnyvale, CA. The role involves enhancing the robustness and performance of YugabyteDB, a scalable cloud-native PostgreSQL database, by working on various components including SQL layer, query execution, and transaction subsystems.

What you'll do

• Write high-quality C/C++ code and participate in code reviews
• Ensure software correctness through unit and integration tests
• Enhance database scalability and throughput
• Contribute to the open source YugabyteDB project
• Troubleshoot performance and stability issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams

• 1-4 years in software engineering
• Strong in C/C++ programming
