Chief Engineer

About this role

Zone 5 Technologies is in search of a Chief Engineer to spearhead the development of innovative unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). This leadership role will involve crafting technical strategies, defining system architecture, and overseeing integration processes for next-gen UAS technology.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end technical development of UAS from concept through production
• Define system architecture and technical requirements for platforms
• Oversee integration with aircraft systems including mechanical interfaces
• Drive technical decision-making across multidisciplinary teams
• Establish and maintain technical standards and design processes

What they're looking for

• Expertise in unmanned multi-rotor systems
• Software or hardware engineering capabilities
• Knowledge of aerodynamic design and propulsion
• Experience with guidance and payload integration
• Leadership in technical strategy and execution
