Mechanical Engineer III/IV

Zone 5 Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance UAS technologies and ensure compliance with industry standards.

What you'll do

• Design mechanical components for UAVs
• Build and test UAV prototypes for reliability
• Conduct structural and thermal analysis
• Collaborate with engineers for system integration
• Select and evaluate materials for UAVs
• Develop maintenance and repair guidelines

• Proficiency in CAD software
• Knowledge of GD&T and drafting
• Experience with DFMA and tooling design
• Familiarity with finite element analysis
• Understanding of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
