Platform Engineer II/III

About this role

Zone 5 Technologies is seeking a Platform Engineer to develop and manage scalable compute infrastructure for autonomous vehicle simulations. The role involves building cloud and on-premises systems to support rapid development and testing of autonomy technologies.

What you'll do

• Design and implement auto-scaling compute infrastructure
• Build and maintain on-premises GPU and CPU clusters
• Deploy and maintain robotics simulation environments
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code for deployment
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance
• Design network architectures for distributed workloads

What they're looking for

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Cloud computing expertise (AWS preferred)
• Linux system administration skills
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs)
• Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash)
• CI/CD pipeline development experience
• Knowledge of distributed systems concepts
• Infrastructure as code practices
