AI System Engineer

About this role

1mind is seeking an AI Systems Engineer to design and build the technical backbone for multimodal AI agents that interact through voice, video, and text in real-time. You'll architect low-latency pipelines integrating speech recognition, language models, text-to-speech, and avatar rendering while ensuring reliability and scalability in production environments.

What you'll do

• Design real-time multimodal pipelines connecting ASR, LLMs, TTS, and avatar rendering systems
• Build observability and monitoring infrastructure with metrics, tracing, and performance instrumentation
• Develop tools for model deployment, versioning, and scaling across production environments
• Create automated testing and evaluation frameworks to ensure quality across audio, video, and language modalities
• Optimize system for low latency, high reliability, and graceful error handling
• Collaborate with product and AI teams to enable knowledge-based training and contextual understanding
