Site Reliability Engineer 2

About this role

Accela seeks a Site Reliability Engineer 2 to ensure high availability and performance of its Civic Platform SaaS offerings. You'll collaborate across multiple teams to maintain production cloud environments, implement automation, respond to incidents, and support platform modernization using cloud-native technologies.

What you'll do

• Operate and maintain Accela's production cloud environments while driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor platform health, availability, and performance using observability and monitoring tools
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues
• Develop automation, scripts, and tooling to improve reliability, scalability, and deployment efficiency
• Support SLO/SLA implementation and compliance-related activities for SOC 2, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and PCI-DSS
• Partner with Development, DevOps, Database Engineering, and Security teams on reliability and performance challenges

What they're looking for

• Site Reliability Engineering or Cloud Operations experience (4+ years)
• Kubernetes and containerized application environments
• Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms
• Scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
• Distributed systems troubleshooting across application and infrastructure layers
• Monitoring, logging, and observability platforms
• Git and GitHub workflows
• Root cause analysis and structured problem-solving
