About this role

Accenture Federal Services seeks Mechanical Design Engineers to modernize aerospace and defense documentation by converting legacy 2D drawings and 3D models into fully annotated, model-authoritative definitions using Creo. The role focuses on building model-based definitions with manufacturing intent, semantic PMI annotations, and automated quality checks for release into PLM systems.

What you'll do

  • Build model-based definitions in Creo with geometry, dimensions, GD&T, datums, and hole callouts aligned to ASME Y14.5 and Y14.41 standards
  • Add required notes, markings, data-rights statements, and populate model parameters such as mass, material properties, and revision data
  • Run automated model checks using Creo ModelCHECK, resolve errors, and ensure annotations are tied to geometry
  • Create model-based BOMs for assemblies covering manufactured and procured components
  • Release converted definitions into the client's PLM system for direct manufacturing use
  • Support aerospace and defense modernization program on an up-conversion team
