About this role

ACT Power Services seeks a Solar Operations Engineer to serve as a technical liaison for their growing renewable energy portfolio. This role involves remote performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of solar and storage facilities ranging from 500kW to 200+MW, with direct client engagement and reporting responsibilities.

What you'll do

  • Monitor and analyze performance of solar and storage projects via DAS and SCADA systems
  • Serve as primary technical contact for assigned facilities and lead client calls on performance issues
  • Conduct root cause analysis and provide optimization recommendations for underperforming systems
  • Generate site performance reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop operational procedures and tools to support efficient fleet management
  • Coordinate with plant managers, field operators, and utilities on maintenance and control schedules

  • Performance analysis and troubleshooting of solar/storage systems
  • DAS and SCADA system experience
  • Programming in VBA, Python, or equivalent
  • Electrical maintenance and PV/DC/AC systems knowledge
  • Network communications and monitoring
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Power generation or industrial facility operations experience
  • Client communication and presentation skills
