About this role
ACT Power Services seeks a Solar Operations Engineer to serve as a technical liaison for their growing renewable energy portfolio. This role involves remote performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of solar and storage facilities ranging from 500kW to 200+MW, with direct client engagement and reporting responsibilities.
What you'll do
- Monitor and analyze performance of solar and storage projects via DAS and SCADA systems
- Serve as primary technical contact for assigned facilities and lead client calls on performance issues
- Conduct root cause analysis and provide optimization recommendations for underperforming systems
- Generate site performance reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop operational procedures and tools to support efficient fleet management
- Coordinate with plant managers, field operators, and utilities on maintenance and control schedules

- Performance analysis and troubleshooting of solar/storage systems
- DAS and SCADA system experience
- Programming in VBA, Python, or equivalent
- Electrical maintenance and PV/DC/AC systems knowledge
