Product Engineer, Tech Ops

About this role

Advocate is seeking Product Engineers for its Tech Ops team to build scalable systems that streamline government benefits access. You'll balance immediate operational firefighting with long-term infrastructure projects, directly enabling the organization's mission to reduce time-to-relief for claimants.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end projects from design through production, including building internal workbenches and external claimant portals
• Respond to production issues and operational roadblocks while designing permanent solutions to prevent recurrence
• Build data pipelines, integrations, and observability systems to track claimant journeys and system health
• Partner with growth, marketing, and case management teams to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Lead platform migrations and infrastructure upgrades with zero downtime for active operations
• Automate operational processes including mail processing, form handling, and communication workflows
