About this role
Adyen seeks a Product Support Engineer in Chicago to provide technical troubleshooting for merchants using the Adyen payments platform. You'll own support cases end-to-end, collaborate with internal teams, and serve as a product expert in a global 24/7 support environment.
What you'll do
- Troubleshoot technical issues for merchants on the Adyen platform and APIs
- Own and resolve merchant support cases from initial contact through resolution
- Provide expert guidance on Adyen platform, web-stack technologies, and integration best practices
- Communicate merchant feedback to product and engineering teams as an internal advocate
- Document knowledge and mentor peers on complex technical topics
- Contribute to support organization projects and cross-functional problem-solving
What they're looking for
- API troubleshooting and debugging
- Postman, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Java, SQL, or PHP
- Customer support experience with technical clients
- Clear communication of complex concepts to varied audiences
- Problem-solving under pressure with decision-making ability
- Self-directed work with minimal supervision
- Magento, SFCC, or Adobe Commerce (preferred)
- Payments industry knowledge (desired)
