Quality Engineer responsible for establishing quality standards and documentation during product development and design phases in the aerospace industry. The role involves creating Quality Assurance Project Plans, defining acceptance criteria, and collaborating with teams to ensure continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Develop Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP) aligned with DoD standards
- Document product acceptance systems, validation methodology, and testing requirements
- Create inspection forms, checklists, and acceptance documentation per industry standards
- Review fabrication and manufacturing plans for compliance with specifications
- Analyze failure trends and deficiencies to drive continuous improvement
- Establish quality metrics, standards, and practices for development and production phases
