Software Engineer II, Fullstack (App Experience)
About this role
Affirm seeks a Software Engineer II to drive frontend and fullstack development across mobile and web platforms for their buy-now-pay-later marketplace. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with product and design teams to deliver consumer-facing features while supporting system reliability and team growth.
What you'll do
- Break down and execute larger projects in phases, collaborating with tech leads and managers to ensure timely delivery
- Partner with product, design, and analytics teams on ideation, technical constraints, and risk/trade-off analysis
- Build and monitor system metrics, participate in on-call rotations, and support operational excellence
- Contribute to code quality through code reviews, mentoring, and participation in the interview process
- Ship fullstack features spanning React/Vue frontends, React Native mobile apps, and backend APIs in Kotlin/Python
- Navigate large codebases, debug complex systems, and provide technical feedback to peers
