Cybersecurity Engineer

About this role

AGE Solutions seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to support DoD cybersecurity operations by designing and implementing advanced threat detection capabilities, maintaining SIEM enhancements, and improving enterprise security analytics. The role focuses on identifying security gaps, developing custom detection logic, and collaborating with government stakeholders to strengthen overall cybersecurity posture.

What you'll do

• Design and implement threat detection methodologies based on emerging threats and threat intelligence
• Develop and maintain custom scripts and SIEM enhancements using PowerShell, Python, and SPL
• Evaluate security controls and analytical capabilities with government SMEs to identify deficiencies
• Assess security data feeds and recommend enhancements to improve monitoring visibility
• Create detection signatures and alert prioritization aligned to specific programs and environments
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and briefings for stakeholder compliance
