About this role
Airbnb seeks a Business Systems Engineer to design and deliver AI-enabled IT self-service solutions that improve employee support experiences. You'll translate IT Support strategy into clear requirements, partner with Product and Engineering teams, and drive capabilities from conception through launch and optimization.

- Own IT self-service features and workstreams, translating business needs into requirements and driving through design, testing, and launch
- Create functional and technical requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria for IT support solutions
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders to align on design, timelines, testing, and readiness
- Evaluate AI and conversational technology for self-service accuracy, failure patterns, and escalation logic
- Define and monitor success metrics using product data, employee feedback, and operational signals
- Identify system dependencies, risks, security/privacy considerations, and partner on technical solutions
