About this role
Join Airbnb's Listing Integrity team to build backend systems that detect and prevent fraudulent listings at scale. You'll collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and operations to develop machine learning-powered fraud detection tools, user verification challenges, and automation systems that protect guests and hosts.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain large-scale backend systems for detecting fraudulent listings using rules and machine learning models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify fraud mitigation opportunities and refine detection requirements
- Build tooling and automation to help operations teams reduce fraud more effectively
- Create user verification challenges that balance fraud prevention with user experience
- Design and implement data pipelines to support machine learning model productionalization
- Communicate with non-technical stakeholders including legal and operations teams
