About this role
Allen Control Systems, a defense startup, seeks an IT Help Desk Engineer to provide first-line technical support and manage day-to-day IT operations in Austin, TX. You'll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, onboard employees, manage tickets, and support compliance initiatives like CMMC Level 2 and ITAR.
What you'll do
- Serve as primary IT support contact for hardware, software, and networking troubleshooting
- Manage employee onboarding, including device configuration and software installation
- Track and prioritize IT help desk tickets while meeting SLAs
- Perform routine system maintenance and security updates across all devices
- Maintain IT documentation and system logs
- Support compliance-related initiatives and vendor security coordination
