About this role
Allen Control Systems, a defense robotics startup, seeks Manufacturing Engineers with mechanical expertise to scale production of autonomous systems. You'll design assembly lines, solve mechanical challenges, and bridge design and production teams in a hands-on role based in Austin, TX with a planned move to Pflugerville in late 2026.
What you'll do
- Design and optimize assembly stations with appropriate tools, jigs, and fixtures
- Analyze production processes and implement improvements for speed, safety, and ergonomics
- Translate engineering designs into clear production procedures and work instructions
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective solutions on the line
- Manage manufacturing equipment setup and maintenance
- Identify and eliminate material waste and process inefficiencies
