Electrical Engineer

About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for car wash equipment, including PLC-based controls, schematics, and wiring diagrams. The role involves component selection, code compliance, cross-functional collaboration with mechanical teams, and support for manufacturing and testing.

What you'll do

• Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts for car wash equipment with PLC and motor drive systems
• Select and specify electrical components including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, relays, power supplies, and safety devices
• Ensure designs comply with electrical codes and standards such as NEC, UL 508, and UL73
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering on system integration and equipment design
• Provide manufacturing documentation, troubleshoot production issues, and support first article builds
• Develop and execute electrical testing, safety validation, and failure analysis plans
