Interior Lighting Systems Design Release Engineer (DRE)
About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks an experienced Interior Lighting Systems Design Release Engineer to lead the full-lifecycle development of ambient, functional, and decorative lighting systems for automotive vehicles. The role encompasses design, validation, regulatory compliance, and supplier management across LED modules, light guides, controllers, and cockpit integration.
What you'll do
- Lead supplier design activities and design reviews aligned with specifications, styling, and performance targets
- Define and track quality, cost, timing, and performance objectives for interior lighting systems
- Create and maintain DFMEAs, boundary diagrams, DVP&Rs, and interface matrices
- Act as regional engineering lead providing on-site technical support for all interior lighting components
- Conduct benchmarking, competitive analysis, and technology scouting for emerging lighting solutions
- Manage release activities (EBOM, CCD/WebCN, Teamcenter, GIMS) and ensure regulatory compliance
