About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an Embedded Firmware Test Engineer to validate next-generation power electronics and energy storage systems. You'll execute firmware and hardware testing using established procedures, automate tests with Python, and analyze data to ensure products meet performance and regulatory standards in a fully equipped on-site lab.

What you'll do

  • Execute firmware and hardware validation testing for embedded power electronics and inverter systems
  • Perform board-level validation of microcontroller-based hardware and conduct component-level electrical fault testing
  • Validate products against industry standards and ISO 17025 laboratory processes
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate test execution, data collection, and reporting
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large test datasets to identify trends and performance issues
  • Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and systems teams on failure investigation and root cause analysis
