About this role
Lead the technical development and integration of a maritime autonomous vehicle product from concept through delivery at Anduril Industries' Maritime Division. Serve as the Chief Engineer responsible for architecture definition, program execution, cross-functional team leadership, and ensuring technical alignment with customer requirements and strategic objectives.
What you'll do
- Define technical approach, key requirements, and prototype design for maritime products from initial concept through delivery
- Lead a new engineering team on AUV development and prototyping, establishing performance parameters and supporting design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
- Perform system trades and studies on critical functions including energy storage, vehicle control, mass/volume budgets, and payload capacity
- Collaborate with product, program, and systems engineering leadership to execute tactical development on schedule
- Manage root cause corrective action processes and maintain accountability for reliability and lifetime performance of AUV products
- Identify cross-division collaboration opportunities and serve as technical feasibility consultant for proposed capability insertions
