Electrical Engineer - Board Design, Thunder
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and develop flight-critical PCBs for Thunder, an autonomous attack rotorcraft. You'll own the full lifecycle of custom embedded electronics—from schematic and layout through lab validation and flight testing—integrating sensors, communications, and processing hardware under strict aerospace constraints.
What you'll do
- Design embedded electronics from concept through prototype, including component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout
- Perform board bring-up, troubleshooting, and system-level integration with hands-on lab work
- Troubleshoot issues spanning electrical and software boundaries using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debugging tools
- Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, and systems engineers to deliver functional products
- Work with modern SoCs, multi-gigabit SERDES, DDR memory, Ethernet, and FPGA interfaces
- Support fast-paced development, active deployments, and customer-operated hardware across concurrent projects

- Microprocessor and microcontroller selection and interfacing

- Test equipment operation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, current probes)
- Embedded Linux (device trees, drivers, bootloaders)
- Python for test automation
- Embedded software development fundamentals
