About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to design space mission trajectories, build physics-based models, and develop simulations that support U.S. Department of Defense decision-making in space domain awareness and control. This role requires expertise in orbital dynamics, spacecraft systems analysis, and the ability to conduct rigorous trade studies for emerging space capabilities.
What you'll do
- Develop model-driven analysis and build physics-level models for space missions
- Perform operational and mission effectiveness analysis of space systems in representative environments
- Conduct trade studies via simulation to evaluate alternative architectures
- Provide analytical products to guide DoD acquisition decisions
- Model spacecraft and payload performance across propulsion, power, thermal, and sensor systems
- Design and analyze satellite constellations and trajectories
