Anduril Industries
Software Engineer, Target Tracking
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Software Engineer to develop advanced tracking algorithms and real-time systems for air and missile defense radar. You'll design multi-target tracking solutions, optimize high-performance software for millisecond-critical environments, and collaborate with radar engineers to integrate tracking capabilities into production defense systems.
What you'll do
- Design and implement advanced multi-target tracking and track fusion algorithms for airborne threats
- Develop high-performance real-time software systems processing radar data for dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets
- Build modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance and identify improvements
- Collaborate with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking solutions into end-to-end systems
- Optimize tracking software for performance-critical, millisecond-sensitive environments
- Communicate technical concepts to cross-functional teams, leadership, and customers; participate in customer demonstrations
What they're looking for
- C++ and Python programming
- Linear algebra, probability, statistics, and differential equations
- Multi-target tracking algorithms
- Real-time systems and performance optimization
- Signal processing and sensor data handling
- Software engineering fundamentals (design patterns, testing, version control)
- Modeling and simulation
- Technical communication and cross-functional collaboration
