About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Systems Safety Engineer to drive safety decisions and lead failure investigations for defense technology products. You'll conduct safety analyses, develop risk mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with military standards across air, maritime, ground, space, and autonomous systems throughout the product lifecycle.

What you'll do

  • Execute System Safety program plans aligned with MIL-STD-882E requirements
  • Conduct safety analyses including FHA, FTA, SCFTA, and FMECA at system and sub-system levels
  • Develop safety requirements and collaborate with design teams on implementation
  • Lead hazard identification, tracking, and risk mitigation across products
  • Support design review milestones (PDR, CDR, QDR) and represent System Safety
  • Lead corrective actions from failure investigations and mishap reports
