About this role
Antares seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and develop instrumentation, control, and power distribution systems for advanced nuclear microreactors. You'll collaborate across teams to create safety-critical electrical architectures that meet DOE and NRC licensing requirements, from concept through testing and integration.
What you'll do
- Design electrical systems for reactor instrumentation, control, and power distribution from concept to detailed implementation
- Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface definitions for sensors and control hardware
- Review electrical designs, wiring diagrams, harnesses, and control panel layouts for technical accuracy
- Participate in design reviews and hazard analyses to identify electrical failure modes and mitigations
- Support testing activities including bench testing, hardware-in-the-loop, and integration campaigns
- Collaborate with systems, mechanical, software, and licensing teams on cross-functional projects
