About this role
AnySignal seeks a Digital Electronics Engineer to design and develop high-performance, space-grade PCBs and digital systems for RF communication platforms. You'll own the full lifecycle from schematic design through production testing, collaborating across hardware, software, and RF teams to deliver robust space mission solutions.
What you'll do
- Design high-speed digital hardware including processors, FPGAs, memory interfaces, and supporting analog/digital circuitry
- Perform architecture trades and component selection analysis for space-grade boards
- Execute schematic capture and PCB layout using EDA tools with focus on manufacturing feasibility
- Conduct board bring-up, testing, and debug across bootloader and Linux stack
- Coordinate with RF, mechanical, thermal, and production teams to ensure end-to-end design compliance
- Design power trees with complex sequencing and ensure thermal dissipation meets space qualification requirements
What they're looking for
- High-speed digital circuit design and PCB layout (Altium Designer or equivalent)
- Xilinx RFSoC/MPSoC and SoC debugging across full bootup stack
- Mixed-signal board design including Ethernet, multi-GHz Serdes, DDR4, I2C, SPI, ADC/DAC
- Power electronics modeling, simulation, and testing
- FMEA (Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis)
- Memory configuration (volatile and nonvolatile) and interface design
- Radiation-hardened component selection and space qualification standards
- Cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing teams
