About this role
Apptronik seeks an experienced CAM Programmer to develop and optimize CNC programs for precision machining of robotics components. You'll translate engineering drawings into efficient machining instructions while collaborating with engineers and production teams to ensure quality and minimize waste.
What you'll do
- Create and modify CNC programs for milling, turning, and multi-axis machines using CAM software
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies
- Simulate and verify toolpaths to prevent collisions and ensure accuracy
- Optimize programs for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with teams to improve manufacturability
What they're looking for
- CAM software proficiency (Fusion 360, Mastercam, PowerMill, or similar)
- CNC machining processes (milling, turning, multi-axis)
- Engineering drawings and GD&T interpretation
- 4-axis and 5-axis machining experience
- CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Cutting tools and materials knowledge
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Documentation and process management
