Developer Relations Evangelist

About this role

AssemblyAI is seeking a Developer Relations Evangelist to be the face of the company within the voice AI developer community. You'll build community engagement through events, live demos, content creation, and direct developer outreach across the SF Bay Area and beyond, reporting to Marketing while working closely with the founding team.

What you'll do

• Build and nurture developer community across social platforms, forums, and in-person events
• Conduct live API demonstrations at meetups, hackathons, and developer gatherings (40%+ travel)
• Create and co-produce technical demos, tutorials, and short-form video content
• Identify and partner with technical creators and influencers to showcase AssemblyAI capabilities
• Develop developer advocate programs including ambassador initiatives and beta cohorts
• Execute SF-based developer events and represent the company at regional community gatherings
