About this role

Join Astranis' avionics team as a 12-week intern to design, build, and test satellite flight hardware for advanced spacecraft systems. You'll work on meaningful projects that directly support satellites heading to orbit, with opportunities to contribute to both hardware validation and embedded software development.

What you'll do

  • Build and test flight hardware with the avionics engineering team
  • Design test equipment to validate designs under stressed conditions
  • Debug and bring up designs in the laboratory environment
  • Write code to evaluate performance and automate satellite hardware testing
  • Develop low-level software to interface with spacecraft subsystems

What they're looking for

  • Python and/or C++
  • Hardware design and development
  • PCB design software (Altium Designer preferred)
  • Soldering and electronics rework
  • SPICE-based circuit simulation
  • Lab equipment proficiency (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply)
  • Switched-mode converter design
  • Problem-solving in fast-paced environments
