About this role

Astranis seeks a Fall 2026 environmental test engineering intern to support satellite hardware and software development. You'll operate specialized test equipment like thermal chambers, vibration tables, and EMI/EMC systems while working on projects that directly contribute to satellites in orbit or preparing for launch.

What you'll do

  • Operate and set up environmental test equipment including thermal chambers, thermal vacuum chambers, vibration shakers, and EMI/EMC systems
  • Execute environmental testing protocols for vibration, acoustics, thermal, thermal vacuum, and RF applications
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on satellite hardware and software design and testing
  • Learn to use test instruments such as DAQs, oscilloscopes, and thermal measurement devices
  • Document test results and support test plan execution
