Audio Visual Engineer I
About this role
Team A-TEK is hiring an Audio Visual Engineer I to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain professional AV systems for federal clients in the Montgomery County, MD area. This hybrid role supports conference rooms, video conferencing platforms, auditoriums, and live events while working alongside senior engineers. Public trust clearance eligibility is required.
What you'll do
- Install and configure AV equipment including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, and control systems
- Set up and test video conferencing platforms (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex)
- Run, terminate, and label AV cabling (HDMI, CAT6, audio cables) with proper documentation
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across AV systems
- Manage service requests in ServiceNow and provide preventive maintenance and system upgrades
- Support live events and provide basic user training while maintaining safety standards
