About this role
Axon is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer I to develop embedded applications for public safety devices like body-worn and in-car cameras. You'll design, build, and test device software that captures critical evidence, collaborating across firmware, cloud, and product teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded applications and network configurations for Axon devices
- Implement features in C/C++, Go, or Python with focus on reliability and performance
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and system-level tests
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and cross-functional problem-solving
- Debug and resolve issues across embedded devices, networking layers, and systems
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Firmware, and Cloud teams to deliver integrated solutions

- Linux-based systems experience
- Unit and integration testing
- Data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
