Manufacturing Quality Engineer II

About this role

Axon seeks a Manufacturing Quality Engineer II to ensure high-quality production across the full product lifecycle. You'll lead quality initiatives including CAPA investigations, process validation, and continuous improvement while supporting cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations.

What you'll do

• Lead nonconforming material reviews and manage material dispositions with cross-functional teams
• Drive 8D investigations and root cause analysis; implement corrective and preventive actions
• Develop and maintain FAIR, PPAP documentation, and AQL sampling plans
• Support new product introduction through validation, process control, and risk mitigation (PFMEA)
• Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems and use DMAIC for continuous improvement
• Manage quality documentation, participate in audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards

• CAPA, RCA/8D, PPAP, and FAIR methodologies
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Statistical analysis software (Minitab, JMP)
• GD&T, engineering drawings, and inspection techniques
• Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)
• IPC-A-610 and industry standard knowledge
• Problem-solving and technical report writing
• MS Office proficiency
