Manufacturing Quality Engineer II (Onsite)
About this role
Axon seeks a Manufacturing Quality Engineer II to support product lifecycle management and ensure manufacturing excellence across their safety and justice technology products. This onsite Scottsdale role involves leading quality initiatives, managing nonconforming material reviews, driving process improvements, and collaborating across cross-functional teams to maintain high standards.
What you'll do
- Lead CAPA, 8D investigations, and root cause analysis to resolve quality issues and implement preventive actions
- Manage nonconforming material reviews (NCMR/MRB) and material dispositions with cross-functional teams
- Develop and maintain FAIR, PPAP documentation, and AQL sampling plans for all inspection stages
- Support new product introduction through validation, process control, and risk assessment (PFMEA)
- Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems and use DMAIC/statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP) for continuous improvement
- Conduct Gage R&R studies, measurement system analysis, and partner with suppliers to ensure quality performance metrics
