About this role

Axon seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer II to lead quality development initiatives across the supply base for safety and justice products. You'll audit suppliers, evaluate new partners, manage corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement to reduce defects and costs while ensuring on-time delivery.

What you'll do

  • Audit contract manufacturers and suppliers to verify compliance with Axon quality standards and procedures
  • Evaluate and select new suppliers; conduct onsite assessments and quote reviews for process-related costs
  • Oversee New Product Introduction (NPI) activities ensuring alignment with inspection plans and purchase order requirements
  • Lead design-for-excellence (DFx) reviews, PPAP/FAIR qualification, and monitor supplier FMEAs and production control plans
  • Issue and track Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs); evaluate root cause analyses
  • Report supplier quality metrics and performance data to operations, finance, engineering, and supply chain teams
