Software Engineer - Applied AI

About this role

Basic Capital, a fintech startup transforming the retirement industry, seeks a Software Engineer to build and deploy full-stack AI products. You'll develop AI infrastructure components, fine-tuning systems, and scalable engineering processes while working on innovative retirement solutions.

What you'll do

• Deliver complete full-stack AI projects from conception to production
• Build and maintain AI infrastructure components for model fine-tuning and evaluation
• Develop engineering systems and processes to scale AI capabilities
• Embed AI/ML features into user-facing applications
• Collaborate across functional teams on financial technology solutions
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure and backend systems design

• Full-stack development (web frameworks, backend systems, cloud infrastructure)
• Python, TypeScript, Java, Go, Rust, Kotlin, Swift, or C/C++
• AI/ML systems and agentic system design
