About this role
BJAK seeks a backend engineer to build scalable APIs and financial infrastructure for their AI neobank platform, handling payments, accounts, KYC, and integrations across millions of users. You'll own core systems that support real customer transactions and connect internal services with payment partners and third-party platforms.
What you'll do
- Design and build backend services for onboarding, accounts, payments, cards, transfers, and KYC flows
- Develop reliable APIs and workflows that support real-time customer transactions at scale
- Integrate with payment providers, financial partners, AI services, and third-party platforms
- Own backend quality including security, latency, observability, data integrity, and incident response
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and mobile teams to ship features safely and quickly
- Refactor and automate existing systems to remove manual work and simplify operational flows
